Full description

Discover the highlights of East Bali on a full-day guided tour visiting some of the island’s most important temples and cultural landmarks, including Lempuyang Temple (Gates of Heaven), Tirta Gangga Water Palace, and Besakih Temple, known as Bali’s Mother Temple.

After hotel pickup, travel through scenic landscapes of rice paddies, winding roads, and mountain views as you head toward Lempuyang Temple. Visit the iconic Gates of Heaven, where Mount Agung forms a dramatic backdrop when weather conditions allow. Your guide will assist with photos and provide insight into the temple’s cultural and historical significance.

Continue to Tirta Gangga, a former royal water palace in eastern Bali. Walk through its tiered fountains, stone carvings, and garden pools, and enjoy views of the surrounding rice fields.

The journey continues to Besakih Temple, the largest and most sacred Hindu temple complex in Bali. Explore the temple area with your guide while learning about its spiritual importance and history, including its survival during the 1963 Mount Agung eruption.

Due to a religious ceremony, Lempuyang Temple will be closed from 17–21 June. During this period, the temple visit will be replaced with an alternative temple.
Please note: During temple ceremonies, access to inner areas may be restricted.

Moderate physical fitness is required due to walking and stairs at Lempuyang Temple
A brief Tirta Suci (holy water) purification ritual is required before entering Lempuyang Temple
Waiting time for photos at the Gates of Heaven can be long, especially during peak season
Mount Agung views are weather-dependent and not guaranteed
Women who are menstruating are not permitted to enter sacred temple areas
Travel times may be long due to the distance to East Bali and traffic conditions
