During the journey, a stop is planned where you can grab a bite at a café and take a break. Enjoy a scenic one-hour ferry ride to Java Island, followed by an hour’s drive to the volcano from Banyuwangi Harbor.
Trekking Ijen Volcano
Start your trek at 02:00 A.M., equipped with masks and lights provided by your English-speaking guide. If you’re lucky with the weather, take photos of the blue flames. Please note the descent to the lake is now closed due to increased seismic activity, in addition that the descent into the crater to the lake is not equipped for safe descent and ascent. We strongly advise against attempting to go down into the crater. Otherwise, the tour organizer is not responsible for any potential consequences. You can capture footage of the workers carrying baskets of sulfur from the crater in any weather. Witness a stunning sunrise at the summit before descending to the base of Ijen.
